William of Tyre
From Maronite History
William of Tyre is a historian who claimed that in 1182 Maronites, including clergy and laity, experienced a massive conversion from heretical Monothelitism to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Some scholars, however, have speculated that the event was a public profession of faith, rather than an abjuration of heresy.
